Arts Council of the North Valley Announces The Donna E. Kublin Art Scholarship Award
(PHOENIX) – Applications are now being accepted for the Arts Council of the North Valley’s Donna E. Kublin Art Scholarship Award. In its 9th year, the ACNV Scholarship Program provides awards to students that have shown a desire to further their study and expertise in the creative arts. The Visual, Literary and Performing Arts Award competition is open to any student who is a senior in high school and is either considering or seeking post-secondary education with a major in visual, performing, or literary arts and attends one of the following high schools: Barry Goldwater, Boulder Creek, Cactus Shadows, Deer Valley, Liberty, Mountain Ridge, Sandra Day O'Connor, or Sunrise Mountain; or is a resident in areas of the north valley and is enrolled in a charter, home school or other Arizona approved school. The award is named after past President and Executive Director of the ACNV, Donna Kublin. One of its founders, Kublin helped guide the organization during the first five years and continues to assist. Interested and motivated students from all fine, literary and performing arts disciplines are highly encouraged to apply. Applications are due by January 9, 2012 and may be found on the ACNV website at www.ACNV.org. The scholarship will be awarded on April 28, 2012 at the ACNV Picnic under the Stars Fundraiser held at the Anthem Community Park.
