Arts Council of the North Valley Announces
The Arts Council of the North Valley (ACNV), an organization committed to supporting the cultural and artist community of the region, announced today the appointment of its new Executive Director, Jon Meyer. "We are very excited to have someone of Jon's caliber leading our organization. His wealth of non-profit management experience and commitment to development will be invaluable in our ongoing efforts to effectively achieve our mission." said ACNV Board President Becky MacMillan. "The arts in the North Valley have so much to offer our communities," said Meyers, "and we are on the cusp of even greater growth in programming, quality, and community engagement. I look forward to being a part of the tremendous accomplishments to come by guiding ACNV's activities in support of vibrant arts performances, presentation, and education throughout the region."
Jon is a graduate of Santa Clara University with degrees in Theatre Arts and History. He lives with his wife and three sons in Anthem, Arizona.
"Jon's knowledge of the non-profit culture will take the Arts Council to new heights and his passion for the arts is contagious" said Holly Matson, former executive director.
About the Arts Council of the North Valley (ACNV) Founded in 2005, the ACNV is an active and energetic force in the broader north valley. Through Board development, active volunteer participation, breadth of programs, public outreach, and membership expansion, the organization maintains its momentum and is becoming an integral and vital part of the community. The ACNV is a donation funded, volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that would not exist without the generosity of our donors and public support we receive thorough grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.

Prior to joining ACNV, Jon served as Executive Director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Desert Mountain States chapter. His background in the non-profit sector spans more than 20 years, having held positions with, among others, Arizona State University and the ASU Foundation; Thunderbird School of Global Management; and Ronald McDonald House Charities, including positions as CEO of RMHC of Southern California in Pasadena and RMHC Field Relations Manager for the western United States, based at the Charity's Global headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois.
