Jon Meyers
was appointed Executive Director for the Council of the North Valley September 2011.
Prior to joining ACNV, Jon served as Executive Director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Desert Mountain States chapter. His background in the non-profit sector spans more than 20 years, having held positions with, among others, Arizona State University and the ASU Foundation; Thunderbird School of Global Management; and Ronald McDonald House Charities, including positions as CEO of RMHC of Southern California in Pasadena and RMHC Field Relations Manager for the western United States, based at the Charity’s Global headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. He also served in positions with the Charities in Boise, Idaho, and Phoenix.
Jon began his professional career in the External Relations office at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. His background includes development and executive positions with a wide variety of non-profit organizations from the arts to social services and animal welfare. Jon is a graduate of Santa Clara University with degrees in Theatre Arts and History. He lives with his wife and three sons in Anthem, Arizona.

Renee Palmer-Jones
was an original founding board member of the ACNV, served on several committees, drafted the Strategic Plan, and held many positions including Vice President for two years.
She returned to the board in December, 2010. Renee holds a bachelor’s degree of Business and Marketing, and a master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University.
She has served on many nonprofit Boards including President of the D’Evelyn Education Foundation, the Colorado Endowment for the Humanities, the Lupus Foundation of Colorado, and was a founding member of the Tesoro Foundation which supports Native American art and culture. Renee also served on the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center redevelopment committee for two years.
Renee is a professional artist specializing in oil painting and was the designer for the Anthem Veteran’s Memorial. In her spare time she enjoys golf, hiking and travel with her husband, Jack.

Mary Sue Hyatt
joined the Arts Council of the North Valley Board in August of 2008.
She held the rank of Professor of Voice at Kent State University and served her last two years as interim Director of the Hugh A. School of Music. She was the co-director and founder of the “Kent in Florence Music Program” and was recognized for her “outstanding contributions to international culture” by receiving the Kent State University International Award in the field of International Communication and Cross- Cultural Achievements for teaching and performing.
After retiring from 34 years of service to Kent State University Mary Sue moved to Carefree and became active in several organizations in the Valley. She is currently the State President of the National League of American Pen Women, President of the Scottsdale Branch, Vice President of the Valley of the Sun chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, an advisor for the Metropolitan Opera Auditions Board - Western Region, a member of Musicfest Education and Young Musicians Competition Committee, a Board member of the Giulio Gari International Voice Foundation and a member of the Scottsdale Foothills Rotary.
The mezzo soprano brings to the concert stage a well seasoned American and European singing career having sung in major cities such as: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Munich, Paris, Florence, Paris, Shanghai, Dublin, Toronto, Guadalajara to name a few.
Ms. Hyatt is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and had formal training under Max Rudolf, Maria Callas, Giulio Gari, Richard Lewis, Lorenzo Malfatti, Italo Tajo and Fedora Barbieri. In the course of her career she has sung in over twenty operas.

Becky Macmillan
joined the Board of the Arts Council of the North Valley in 2005.
She was elected Vice President of the Board in 2008 and continues in that capacity. She has served as chair of the nominating committee; co-chair of the Arts Council's annual fundraiser, Picnic Under The Stars, in 2009 and 2010; and as chair of various Anthem Festival of Fine Art committees.
Becky has practiced law for nearly 30 years, first in Wyoming and now in Arizona, and is presently Of Counsel at The Boates Law Firm in Anthem.
Becky also has a real estate license with Coldwell Banker Daisy Mountain Real Estate in Anthem. In addition to the Arts Council, Becky served on the Membership Committee and as Membership Committee Chairman of The Wednesday Club, and was a founding member and officer of Chapter EV of P.E.O. in Anthem.
Becky and her husband, Hoke, also an attorney, enjoy travel to foreign destinations, good food and wine, golf, and the wonderful Arizona weather.

Holly Matson
joined the Arts Council of the North Valley Board in 2009.
She has since served on committees such as Picnic under the Stars, membership, budgeting, strategic planning and marketing. Holly served as interim ACNV Executive Director from 2010 to 2011.
Prior to joining ACNV, Holly spent 17 years as Director of Consumer Operations for Constellations Wines US and Ste Michelle Estates. Since 2008 Holly has owned Matson Solutions, a public relations and marketing firm specializing in the wine industry. She serves on the leadership team for Anthem Cares Thru Acts of Service and chairs the Economic Development and Marketing Committee for the Anthem Community Council.
In her free moments, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their four children. She also enjoys writing as WINO Gal for ImagesAZ Magazine, barbecuing with friends, travelling, food & wine exploration and relaxing on the patio with a good book.

Dee Wright
joined the Arts Council of the North Valley in 2005.
She has since served as Chair of the Black Tie Gala, Co-chair of the successive Black Tie Galas, Picnic Under the Stars Procurement Co-chair, Founder and chair of Applause!, the volunteer support group for ACNV and currently serves as ACNV Board Secretary.
Dee is past president of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), North Valley chapter, an international volunteer service organization. She loves to cook, travel and enjoys great wine, the theater, movies and music with family and friends. Dee resides in Anthem.

Allan Winston
was appointed to the Arts Council of the North Valley Board in 2008.
He has since served on committees such fundraising and strategic planning. Prior to joining the board Allan was in the US Army Reserve and practiced law in NY, NJ and CT.
Allan served as President of the Scottsdale Foothills Rotary. Currently Allan resides in North Scottsdale and is CEO of the Erna Schulz Foundation, Secretary of the Zelenda Foundation.

Francisco "Paco" Torte
joined the Arts Council of the North Valley Board in July 2011.
Francisco has been in the financial services industry since 2005 and joined Merrill Lynch in 2008.
Francisco is a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a B.S. in industrial engineering and a M.S. in engineering management. He currently serves as Chairman of the Anthem Community Council’s Fiscal & Resource Management Committee. He and his wife, Heidi, live in Phoenix, Arizona, with their son. On his free time he likes to hike, ski, golf, and enjoy the arts.

Joe Huseonica
prior to joining ACNV, Joe retired from an extensive career in executive management in the high-tech industry including Intel Corporation, Acres Gaming and the successful founding of several startup companies. He has dedicates time to community and church efforts including Anthem Cares Through Service, CASA, and other community action and mentoring activities.
Joe also enjoys the leisure activities of golf, cooking and woodworking. He has built beds and other furniture for his six grandchildren. He and his wife, Susan, enjoy travel, collecting and consuming great wines and attending music concerts and theater at every opportunity.

John A. Hasslacher
became the Treasurer of the Arts Council of the North Valley in the fall of 2008.
John is the managing member of Hasslacher Tax & Financial, LLC, a full service Wealth Management firm. The company was established in 1987 with offices in Anthem and Sun City. John is also currently serving as Treasurer for the Pioneer Arizona Foundation, as well as serving on the board for The Caepe School. In addition, John has been teaching Junior Achievement at the Boulder Creek High School since 2004, and active supporter of the Boulder Creek Football Foundation.
Since 1994 he has been actively donating his time and expertise in the local schools, PTAs and sports organizations from elementary to high schools throughout Anthem, Glendale and Peoria and surrounding areas; including being an active supporter in the Deer Valley Education Foundation. John has been quoted in many publications such as the Wall Street Journal and the Arizona Republic, as well as been called upon to be a speaker at National Financial Planning and National Tax Organizations conferences. John provide support to many aspects of the community and its multitude of charity organizations; believing that it takes small selfless acts from everyone to build a great community for all.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Fran and his two children.
